Downgrading is not a punishment. Here are the rules, in full, before you pay anything.
Downgrading never deletes anything
Drop to Free with 3 GB uploaded and all 3 GB stay where they are. Every file is still readable, searchable, and cited by your notes.
Over the limit means read-only
Above 100 MB on Free, new uploads are blocked until you are back under. Nothing you already uploaded is touched, and notes, cards, and reviews keep working normally.
You get 30 days to decide
If a subscription lapses while you are over the limit, you have 30 days to choose what to remove. After that we may remove your most recent uploads until you are back under - never your notes or cards.
Questions people actually ask.
- Do I need a card for the free plan?
- No. Free needs an email address and nothing else, and it does not expire.
- What happens the moment I cancel?
- You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then drop to Free. Nothing is deleted at that point - the 30-day rule above only applies if you are over the storage limit.
- What is fair use on Pro?
- Pro includes weekly allowances for uploads, AI-generated questions and flashcards, and answer checks. We may also apply proportionate rate limits, temporary feature restrictions, or temporary suspension if we reasonably suspect abuse, attempts to bypass limits, or activity that threatens the app's security or stability. These measures can apply before your weekly allowance is exhausted, even if usage remains. If you think a restriction was applied in error, contact [email protected] to request a review.
- Can I get my work out?
- Yes. Your notes, cards, and files can be exported at any time, on either plan, including after you cancel.
- Is there a student discount?
- Student OS is only for students, so the price is already the student price.
